First and foremost, I am a mother to Andy a 9 year old who is diagnosed with autism. He is moderately affected by his autism. About two years ago Andy was introduced to the IPAD. It has changed his life.
Secondly, I am a special education to six students with severe disabilities. This is my second teaching in this classroom and my year making the focus of the classroom technology. In four short months the IPAD has changed the canvas on my classroom.
This blog will do two things. It will discuss assistive technology and how to apply it at home and in the classroom. In addition this blog with review apps from the mother and teacher perspective.
